sraeli gunboat missiles have killed four Palestinian boys from the same family as they played on a beach in the Gaza Strip, bringing the death toll in the nine-day conflict to at least 213.

The four boys, who were cousins and ages nine to 11, were killed while playing on a beach off a coastal road west of Gaza City, said Ashraf Al Kedra, a Palestinian doctor. Seven others, adults and children, were wounded in the strike, he said.

Following their deaths Save the Children – a leading human rights organisation – warned that one fifth of those killed in the nine-day conflict had been children.
